3 benefits of our seamless Outlook integration

Did you know our solution integrates seamlessly with Outlook? This allows you to easily manage business interactions with customers and suppliers directly from your mailbox. This Outlook add-in is included as standard in our software and brings several benefits. We are happy to explain and show you how the Outlook integration works.

1. Easy insight into customer data

If you work with our solution and receive an email in your Outlook environment, you have the option to open the Business Central environment directly from Outlook. The environment recognizes the existing customer and customer card, and you have all the information at your fingertips immediately from the dashboard. You can view the complete sales history or search for details in specific documents. Is the email from a new customer or supplier who has not yet been processed in your system? In that case, too, you can easily add the new customer to Business Central without leaving Outlook.

2. Create invoices and quotes immediately

Do you receive an email from a customer with a new order? From the add-in, you can also create a sales quote directly and send it to the customer from the Outlook dashboard. Business Central converts the entered data into a PDF quote and links it to the message you are composing. If you receive an email from a supplier, the application processes purchase invoices in the same way.

It is also possible to open the application in a separate page if you need more options than are available in the add-in. You are still working in the Outlook environment, but with more space. This is useful when you need to enter or modify lines in an invoice. Changes you make in the separate window are automatically saved and updated in the add-in in Outlook.

If you register billable appointments directly in the Outlook calendar, you can also create an invoice for the customer based on the calendar item. By opening the appointment and starting the add-in, the system retrieves existing data, and you can immediately create an invoice or sales document.

3. Easily search for documents

Another important advantage of the Outlook integration is that you can directly search for and view documents mentioned in an (incoming) email via the add-in. The environment scans and recognizes the text and links to existing documents, allowing you to open and view them directly in Outlook via the add-in. You can then immediately modify and execute actions or data, just as you are accustomed to in the Business Central environment.
