Did you know that our solution features seamless integration with Outlook? This allows you to easily manage business interactions with customers and suppliers directly from your mailbox. This Outlook add-in is included as standard in our software and has several advantages. We are happy to explain and show you how the Outlook integration works.
1. Easy insight into customer data
If you work with our solution and receive an email in your Outlook environment, you have the option to open the Business Central environment directly in Outlook. The environment recognizes the existing customer, and you immediately have all information at hand from the dashboard. You can view the complete sales history or search for details in specific documents. Did the email come from a new customer or supplier that has not yet been processed in your system? Even then, you can easily add the new customer in Business Central without leaving the Outlook environment.
2. Create invoices and quotations directly
Received an email from a customer with a new order? From the add-in, you also can directly create a sales quotation and send it to the customer from the dashboard in the Outlook environment. Business Central converts the entered data into a PDF file quote and connects it to the message you draw up. If you receive an email from a supplier, the application works in the same way to process purchase invoices.
It is also possible to open the application on a separate page if you need a few more options than the add-in allows. You are still working in the Outlook environment, but with a little more space. This is useful when you need to fill in or change lines in an invoice. Changes you make in the separate window are automatically saved and refreshed in the Outlook add-in.
Suppose you register billable appointments directly in the Outlook calendar. In that case, you also can create an invoice for the customer based on the calendar item. By opening the appointment and starting the add-in, the system looks up existing data. You can immediately create an invoice or sales document.
3. Search documents easily
Another essential advantage of the Outlook integration is that you can directly search and view mentioned documents in an (incoming) mail via the add-in. The environment scans and recognizes the text and links existing documents so that you can open and view them directly from your Outlook environment via the add-in. You can then directly change and execute actions or data, as you are used to in the Business Central environment.
