Business Central implementation

A Business Central implementation is not an installation project but a change process. At Bluace we set up Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for installation, service and maintenance companies, together with our own field service solution, CRM and Microsoft Fabric. One project, one team and one solution that fits the way your business works.

Implementation partner for technical service providers

Bluace has been a Microsoft Solutions Partner since 2018. We implement Business Central for companies in installation, HVAC, service and maintenance, and maritime and offshore. That industry knowledge is built into our approach and our own apps, such as Technical Management, Extended Time Sheets and 2BA Integration.

So you do not start with an empty system, but with a setup that already accounts for work orders, maintenance contracts, van stock and project administration. Our principle: innovation through standardisation.

Our approach in phases

We start with how your organisation works and what you want to steer on, not with functionality. After that, an implementation at Bluace goes through these phases:

  1. Introduction and needs analysis: we map your processes, requirements and bottlenecks.
  2. Demo and exploration: you see Business Central and our apps at work with processes similar to yours.
  3. Proof of Value: in a test environment we check whether the solution adds value for your processes and KPIs. Your key users take part in testing.
  4. Evaluation and decision: together we assess the results and draw up a roadmap.
  5. Implementation and adoption: setup, data migration, testing, training and go-live according to that roadmap.
  6. Aftercare and further development: support from our own team and further development as your business grows.

Read more about this approach in Proof of Value in a Business Central implementation and From insight to implementation.

Everything as one solution

For the ideal customer we do not just implement Business Central, but the whole solution in one project: ERP, our own field service solution with the Field Service App, CRM with Dynamics 365 Sales and customer contact, and Microsoft Fabric with Power BI for insight. Everything works from the same data, without connections between separate suppliers.

Prefer to go step by step? Then we start with the core and expand later. The setup grows with you.

From Navision to Business Central

Still working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)? Then moving to Business Central is a good moment to review your processes. We bring your data across and make sure customisations give way to standard functionality and apps wherever possible. That makes future updates easier.

After go-live: support and further development

After go-live, Bluace remains your point of contact. Our support team helps with questions and incidents, and we develop the solution further together with you: new Business Central releases, Copilot and AI agents, extra apps or insight with Microsoft Fabric.

Frequently asked questions about a Business Central implementation

How long does a Business Central implementation take?
That depends on the size of your organisation, the number of processes and the amount of data to migrate. After the analysis and the Proof of Value we draw up a roadmap with a concrete schedule, so you know where you stand in advance.
What is a Proof of Value?
A Proof of Value is a controlled test phase in which we test specific processes and KPIs in a test environment. Where a Proof of Concept checks whether something is technically possible, a Proof of Value shows whether the solution adds value for your business.
What do I need to do myself during the implementation?
You appoint key users who know your processes well. They help shape the setup, test the processes and support their colleagues after training. Bluace takes care of the setup, migration and guidance.
Can my data from Navision move to Business Central?
Yes. Master data such as customers, vendors, items and objects comes along, as do open entries. Together we decide in the analysis phase which history to migrate.
Do I have to introduce everything at once?
No. For the ideal customer we implement everything as one solution, but you can also start with Business Central and later add field service, CRM or Microsoft Fabric. Your data and setup grow with you.
What does a Business Central implementation cost?
The costs depend on the scope of the project, the number of users and the apps you need. After the analysis you receive a proposal with a clear budget.
