Floris Landman about working at Bluace
Floris is 19 years old and combines his Computer Science studies at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences with working at Bluace. He still lives at home with his parents, together with his younger brother and sister, and came into contact with the company at an early age through his father. During his HAVO education, he did an exploratory internship here and later also spent a day during the summer vacation. When he had to look for a workplace for the part-time studies that would let him work at least 24 hours, Bluace came up again. “Because I had no experience yet, it was quite difficult to find something. That’s when I ended up here.” What immediately struck him was the way he was welcomed within the company. “The biggest difference is that everyone takes you seriously here.” Where he had previously thought he would be treated more strictly, the opposite proved true. “I actually get space for my studies alongside my work,” says Floris Landman, Technical Consultant at Bluace.
Within Bluace, Floris is involved with XML configurations, Power Apps, and increasingly, .NET-related work that aligns with his studies. “I am trying to move more and more towards a .NET framework solution,” he says. “I also enjoy doing that because it connects with what I am learning.” Floris describes the company culture as pleasant and especially educational. “I learn something new here every day, such as developments in the field of AI.” According to him, the team atmosphere is also good. “Always fun.”
For the future, he expects to first gain experience outside Bluace after his studies. “I think it is wise for me to gain work experience in other places after my studies.”
