“After the takeover of my previous employer, I noticed that dealing with employees became less pleasant. That was the time for me to look further. I posted a message on LinkedIn and soon received a phone call from Mark. He immediately sounded enthusiastic and indicated that he had to have me. I was already about to start working for another company, but during our conversation, it clicked immediately. You are often a bit careful about what you say during job interviews, but Mark was not bothered by that. His direct and open way of talking appealed to me. The next day, I had a conversation with Pieter and Mark. It felt right; we wandered off to how they worked and how I was used to working. It turned out that Pieter also had the knowledge I could learn a lot from, which had great added value for me,” says Guido, Technical Consultant at Bluace. He was born and raised in Alkmaar and lives there with his wife, Brenda, and their 13-year-old daughter. “In my spare time, I go bouldering and kickboxing. Since I have had a sedentary job for more than 25 years, sports are a necessary counterpart. I also love winter sports, but snowboarding. Skiing I like to leave to children and older people,” says Guido with a grin.
Guido continues: “Within Bluace, I am involved in software development. I program and work on improving our products. Pieter manages our development team, and I often get the more complex and long-term tasks. The cooperation within our team is very strong; Pieter, Koen, and I can read and write together.” Guido likes the working atmosphere at Bluace. “Everyone can take a joke, and we have an informal atmosphere within the team,” he explains.
“For the future within Bluace, I strive to deliver work without mistakes. If we all do our best and do our job well, we can continue to grow as a team and achieve even more great things,” says Guido.
