“Lots of room to learn and ask”
Shiwan Roepa, Functional Consultant at Bluace
“I was approached by a recruiter for a position at Bluace. Although I initially hesitated because of the distance to Rotterdam, the interesting conversations convinced me to take on the challenge. My first impression of Bluace was that the company does much more than implement ERP systems. They give advice, help customers on their way, and are always solution-oriented. The first meeting with Mark clarified that working at Bluace meant hard work. I was going to be thrown in at the deep end. This challenge appealed to me, and although the beginning was hectic due to a client going live, I learned quickly. I received the necessary support.” says Shiwan, Functional Consultant at Bluace. Shiwan, from Surinamese and Hindustani, was born and raised in Vianen, Utrecht. He has been living with his girlfriend for over five years now. “I have a broad interest in traveling, eating out, festivals, and parties. I also enjoy relaxing and listening to music at home. I have a broad taste in music, from Dutch pop to house music, and my favorite is R&B and hip-hop from the 2000s.”
Shiwan explains: “As a functional consultant at Bluace, I mainly focus on financial processes, from booking purchase invoices to payments. I also maintain contact with partners, such as Contina. They provide applications for invoice recognition, payment journals, and direct debits.” Shiwan describes the company culture at Bluace as fun and healthy, with plenty of room to learn and ask. He says: “The working atmosphere is supportive, and colleagues, young and old, are always ready to help each other.”
“At Bluace, I’ve found a place where I can grow personally and professionally, surrounded by a team that works hard but also leaves room for fun and collaboration,” says Shiwan. In the future, he wants to expand his financial advice knowledge further and improve his communication skills to better support and guide clients in the change process. Although his strong point lies in finance, he aspires to become an all-round consultant.
