Transus Business Central integration
Does your organization exchange EDI messages with retailers, customers, or logistics partners and work with Microsoft Business Central? With the Transus Integration from Bluace, you automatically receive orders and you send order confirmations, dispatch notes, and invoices via the Transus EDI network — without manual conversions, without external middleware, and without errors. Once configured, your entire EDI flow runs in the same environment as your purchasing, sales, and financial administration.
What is the Transus Integration app?
Transus is one of the largest EDI networks in the Netherlands and is widely used in retail, food, non‑food, wholesale, and logistics. The Transus Integration app by Bluace connects your Microsoft Business Central environment directly to that network via the Transus REST API. Each confirmed sales order (ORDRSP), dispatch advice (DESADV), or invoice (INVOIC) created in Business Central is automatically converted to the Transus format and sent to the correct trading partner. Incoming purchase orders are automatically created as sales orders and mapped to your existing customers and items. You never have to leave Business Central to manage, receive, or send EDI messages.

How does the Transus Business Central integration work?
The installation consists of three steps. You install the Transus Integration via Microsoft AppSource, enter your Transus API credentials on the settings page, and then link your customers to their Transus trading partner ID (GLN or EAN). From that moment on, any sales document can be sent electronically at the click of a button — just like emailing a PDF.
Incoming messages are automatically retrieved via a job queue in Business Central. An incoming ORDERS message from a customer is immediately converted into a sales order and ready for processing. If a message contains an error (for example, an unknown item number), it remains visible on the Inbound EDI Messages page with a clear error description, allowing you to correct the issue and reprocess the message.
Supported EDI messages
The Transus Integration supports the standard EDIFACT message types handled within the Transus network. This fully covers the sales side of your trading relationships:
- ORDERS — receive sales orders;
- ORDRSP — send order confirmations;
- DESADV — send dispatch advice (packing slips);
- INVOIC — send sales invoices.
In the Transus portal, you define per trading partner which message types are exchanged. You can choose whether messages are sent automatically or manually.
