“It was open and honest, without any pretty stories”
Jolijn Hooiring, Functional Consultant at Bluace
After her studies, Jolijn completed a management traineeship, during which she gained experience across various roles, including warehousing and purchasing. In her final year, she worked as an inventory control supervisor, leading a team and overseeing stock for two clients. Yet, she was looking for a position where her interests could come together. “The analytical work, being able to really dive into something, and combining that with client contact immediately appealed to me,” says Jolijn. Through a recruiter, she ended up at Bluace. “My first interview felt good right away. It was open and honest, without any fancy stories. I found that pleasant. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by the space for humor and camaraderie,” says Jolijn, Functional Consultant at Bluace. Jolijn comes from Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel and has been living in Rotterdam with great pleasure for more than six years. “In my free time, I play a lot of sports, enjoy being outdoors, and travel as often as possible. I also love cooking, going out to eat, and creative hobbies like painting. I also enjoy reading, especially thrillers,” Jolijn says.
In the meantime, Jolijn works as a consultant at Bluace, mainly focusing on logistics processes for clients. “I help them transition from their old systems and practices to Business Central. At the moment, I mainly work with clients who are still in the implementation process. That involves a lot of analyzing, testing, thinking along, advising, and above all, guiding. Providing training and involving people in change are among the most enjoyable and important parts of my job. It’s not just about systems, but particularly about the people who will be working with them,” she says determinedly. Jolijn describes the culture at Bluace as direct, open, and friendly. “You have to be able to take a joke and be willing to work hard, but there is also plenty of room for socializing. Colleagues are always there for each other and help each other when needed. There is a lot of laughter, but people also work seriously. That combination made me feel at home quickly.”
For the future, I see myself growing within Bluace. Currently, I work as a junior consultant and visit clients together with a senior consultant. My ambition is to progress to senior consultant, so that I can lead entire projects myself and guide clients from start to finish.
