As a Junior Software Developer at Bluace you mainly work on developing our products based on Microsoft Business Central. Together with your colleagues, you constantly look at how the software and/or associated apps can be improved or expanded. In addition, you step in as soon as there are problems with the software at one of our customers, so no day is the same.

Who are you?
What do we offer you?
A working week of a Functional Consultant Junior Software Developer
Your job as a Junior Software Developer is never the same. Every morning you always start by checking if customers have problems with their software and need assistance. You try to locate and solve these problems as quickly as possible. You will also be sparring with your Software Developer colleagues during the day about our software development on Mondays. What is the next step we should take? And how can we expand our products?
On Tuesday, you’re fixing that one bug that keeps coming back. You then process the solution as quickly as possible in the production environment of all customers. Fixing a bug can take you a few hours, but it might be more prominent and even take you a few days.
On Wednesday, you dive into a customer-specific problem. You will consult with your functional consultant colleague. You may also visit the customer to discuss the situation, after which you can get to work immediately. Will an issue or problem arise during the day? Again, you let everything fall out of your hands and directly focus on the case to solve it as quickly as possible.
On Thursday, you and your Software Developer colleagues will work on the further development of our software. Again, customizations are defined, and you then get to work with some of this or assign the task to someone else.
On Friday, everything revolves around knowledge sharing. In practice, this means that you are present at our office in the Van Nelle Factory together with many other colleagues. You will consult, and each will share his findings and tasks performed. You discuss our products and what we do with them. Together, we try to identify points for improvement and share tips with each other to optimize the building blocks that we use with customers. The afternoon ends with a pleasant Friday afternoon drink.
