Bryan did not follow the most obvious route into IT. He was actually trained as a Medical Researcher. During his studies, he took an elective in programming, which turned out to be an unexpected but decisive career move. “All the recruiters immediately reacted to that,” he says. After graduating, he decided to retrain as a developer and started at a medical startup in Rotterdam. Later, he moved to another company, where he worked in the Dynamics team. After a few years, he was ready for a new step. Through a recruiter, he got in touch with Bluace and was invited to speak with Mark. “That conversation just went well. We all had a good day, and that’s how I eventually ended up at Bluace,” says Bryan, a Functional Consultant at Bluace. Bryan originally comes from East Brabant, but nowadays he lives in West Brabant. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, photography, and cooking. “I really like being in the kitchen,” he says. “It doesn’t always work out to cook extensively, but the whole process leading up to it, coming up with recipes, shopping for ingredients, and trying something new, I already enjoy that.” Musically, he is a fan of Bruce Springsteen. “Maybe a bit before my time, but I can really enjoy it. I have also seen him live a few times.” And although Bryan doesn’t have children, he says with a smile, “I do have two cats.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Within Bluace, Bryan primarily works on Dynamics CE\/CS solutions for clients. His work consists of a combination of third-line support and further improving systems and processes for clients. Together with clients, he looks at new functionalities and ways to make existing solutions smarter or more efficient. He often works for multiple clients at the same time: with one client, he is still more in the implementation phase, while with another, he helps further optimize existing processes. Bryan works independently, but for more complex issues, he also regularly consults with colleagues. “Then you exchange best practices and together see what fits best with the client.” He describes the culture at Bluace as direct, with short lines of communication and a strong emphasis on personal responsibility. “There are moments when the pressure is really on, and you are working seriously, but there is also always room for humor and the human side among each other.” Because the team is relatively small, everyone looks out for each other, and colleagues jump in where needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the future, Bryan hopes the CE division within Bluace continues to grow and delivers Microsoft’s innovations to customers even better. “It would be great if we could put those new possibilities well on the map and continue to develop together,” he says. In addition, he looks forward to further personal development within Bluace and to taking on more responsibility on customer projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
