After working in the telecom industry for a long time in the finance department, Gertjan decided it was time for a new challenge. “I had built up a strong foundation in reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, but after years of changes and reorganizations, I wanted something different. The vacancy at Bluace immediately appealed to me, and an interview with Mark followed. My first impression was immediately positive: an open, direct, and no-nonsense way of working, exactly what suits me. At that time, Bluace was still a small team of three people, and they were looking for someone with financial expertise. The timing was perfect,” says Gertjan, Functional Consultant at Bluace. Gertjan lives in Wateringen with his wife and two children, who are now in their twenties. “We like to travel, especially with the caravan. When we’re not traveling, I can often be found outside: in the garden, on the road bike or mountain bike, and during walks with our golden retriever.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Today, Gertjan still focuses on implementations in Business Central, where his financial background is handy. But no two days are the same. “I switch between different projects and tasks, from supporting customers with the financial setup and reports in Business Central to sharing knowledge with (new) colleagues. That variety makes the work dynamic and interesting,” he says. According to Gertjan, Bluace is characterized by an open and direct corporate culture with an informal and cozy atmosphere. “It’s a close-knit club. We work hard, but there is also room for fun. That makes me feel completely at home here,” he says enthusiastically. He still remembers his first period at Bluace well. “With such a small team, everyone picked up all kinds of things. That gave a lot of freedom, but also a lot of responsibility,” he explains. He followed an intensive two-week training course in Belgium to become familiar with the Business Central software package. “Switching took a while, but that versatility made the work challenging and fun.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gertjan has a clear goal for the future. “I want to continue on this path: grow with Bluace, maintain a pleasant working atmosphere, share knowledge, and delve further into the reporting possibilities of Business Central in combination with Power BI and Excel,” he concludes with a smile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
